A standardised clinical photography tool for tracking the progress of injuries and other visible health conditions.
At present, it is difficult for people to take consistent photographs of their injuries in the same position over a period of time. These images can also become mixed in with other, more personal, photographs when stored on a person’s mobile phone gallery.
With Reel, users can create a visual diary to provide a clear comparison between images and easily track progress. The images are stored within the app and do not appear in the phone’s regular camera roll, which ensures privacy.
Once a health journal of photographs has been created, this can be shown to clinicians during appointments. Clinicians are then able to better understand the development of the injury/condition over a period of time. As a result, assessments are made easier and more accurate.
